I just discovered — and thoroughly enjoyed — the 3 “Aud books.” Can you disclose whether there will be a fourth, and if so, when it might be released?
I have the fourth and fifth Aud novels roughed out in my head, with the fifth being most definitely the last. But right now I’m working on an entirely different project, an historical novel about Hild of Whitby. (I’m keeping a blog about that, though I haven’t updated it for a month.) That book will occupy me for at least another year. After that, there are all kinds of things I want to play with, including adapting Aud for the big screen.
So, no, there won’t be anymore Aud for a while. Sorry. Still, I’m delighted that you liked the books. Do you have a favourite?

Hey, Duff, well done for persevering :)Don’t get your hopes up too far for new Aud books. If/when they ever happen, it’ll be way in the future.As for who should star, huh, I’ve pondered that a million times and got nowhere. Jet Li??
Jet Li as Aud? Hmmm… Interesting concept. I don’t think he is tall enough though. And, I’m not sure how he’d do in that little black number Aud wore in The Blue Place. I think of who would look right as AUd and also have trouble envisioning just the right person. But I could see Charlize Theron giving it a shot.Whie I won’t get my hopes high for Aud to reappear in the near future, I think the concept of what is “distant” future is all relative. I figure you and I have at least 40 more years in us and I can be patient that long. And its nice to hear about someone else getting the Aud bug.On the other hand, while Aud is in my heart, I’m starting to get into the idea of 7th century England.(the anonymous) duff
