Earlier today I suggested getting blotto on vino to beat fallout. Drinking is good for you! So, it turns out, is chocolate:
6.7 grams of chocolate per day represent the ideal amount for a protective effect against inflammation and subsequent cardiovascular disease.
A new effect, demonstrated for the first time in a population study by the Research Laboratories of the Catholic University in Campobasso, in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute of Milan.
So now I’m thinking of all the fine and wicked things one should do every day to stay happy and healthy. Perhaps more on this tomorrow.
Never mind the cardiovascular this or that – the main thing is you can even lesbianize the protective process to worldly pleasures and devine perception, enjoying the very amazing goddesses made by < HREF="http://www.chocolatedeities.com" REL="nofollow">“Chocolate Deities”<>, such as their < HREF="http://www.chocolatedeities.com/deity.php?deity=laussel" REL="nofollow"> dark chocolate Laussel sculpture<> with its discreet therapeutic charm … or, more femmy, and with an unbeatably protective effect, < HREF="http://www.chocolatedeities.com/deity.php?deity=willendorf" REL="nofollow"> a soft milk chocolate Willendorf Venus Goddess<> :-)
Oooh, chewing on milk chocolate Venus…
Like the previous post, I’m all for it! Chocolate should be as dark as you can take – the milk and sugar is what drives hyperactivity and the blood sugar spike/dip. I try to buy mine from Fair Trade regimes :) Speaking of choc, must get some soon.
evecho, I eat dark chocolate, just two pieces, every day after lunch. On special days, I also eat milk chocolate, or truffles. Ummm.
Congrats on the 200th blog post. September is indeed a month for anniversaries and celebration.>>*mouth watering for truffles*>>My good days definitely include dark chocolate. Truffles are like slices of birthday cake for me. Can’t have just one. Overdose inevitable.>>Chocolate: Mexico’s gift to the world. I had no idea it was <>such laborious and time-consuming work<> to make it from scratch until I had to research it for my YA novel. And the < HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Cocoa_Pods.JPG" REL="nofollow">pods look way cool<>. Did you know that Europeans banned xocolātl (bitter water) when it was first introduced to the old continent? They thought it was demon water because it tasted so bad yet gave so much pleasure.
Oh, and the link to Science Daily is broken.>>It is now:>http://www.blogger.com/%20http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/09/080923104408.htm>>Should be:>http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/09/080923104408.htm
