No biology today, no current affairs or diatribes, just a something and nothing post about a perfectly lovely evening. Last night we had two friends–whom we don’t see nearly often enough–round for pizza and wine and beer, and delicious salad with our patented tofu dressing, and homemade crême brulée (Kelley got to play with the blowtorch; she was very happy). We talked about this and that (our lives, politics, literature, film, work, the economy, food) for a few hours, then parted ways. No drama, no stress, no angst.

I’m smiling. I wish more of life were like that.
