Sixteen years ago today I married Kelley and she married me:
I think you’ve seen that picture before but here’s one I’m pretty sure you haven’t. It was taken in Montpelier, Vermont, in 1999, when I was teaching a writers’ post-graduate summer thing. I don’t know what we were thinking, hairwise, but it was ten years ago:
This one was taken in spring at our local restaurant. I think you’ve seen a version of but, hey, I like it so here it is again:
I feel very damn lucky. This marriage thing rocks.
Congratulations to you and Kelley.
Those are wonderful pictures.
Congrats to you both. Please give each other a hug for Sal and me. We just made 30 a few months ago and it just keeps getting better.
Happy Anniversary! Congrats are definitely in order! :D
Congratulations, you both look wonderful and content.
I have to say, I'm a fan of it too! Congratulations on it.
Congratulations to you both.
All great photos. That second one – wow, amazing how different you both look with the different hair styles.
Congartulations. Have a great day.
We knew each other for five years and lived together for four before we got married. I'm not sure why it took us so long–probably because it simply hadn't occurred to us. These days, eh, I think we'd have married that first year.
That hair was unfortunate, wasn't it?
Wow, that's amazing and wonderful. Congratulations.
And 5 years isn't so long to wait. My wife and I had known each other 5 1/2 when we married. And hey, sounds like it was completely worth the wait.
I love the hair, both present and past!! The 3rd photo of you n Kelley is one of my favorites too.
And congrats. Marriage is a beautiful thing. :)
Happy Anniversary.
Congratulations!! Beautiful pictures.
The first photo was taken by Mark Tiedemann, whom I've actually known longer than I've known Kelley (by about 20 hours). The second by Kelley's longest/oldest friend, Ronnie Garvey (I think they met in 1980). The third by my sister, Anne. So pix by people who have known us well and long–I think that stuff shows.
The hair is not unfortunate – I'd say more like fascinating. And cute. :)
Happy anniversary!
I love the pictures and the hair. What cuties. :-) Congratualtions again and again on your beautiful marriage. Marriages rock, especially yours and Kelley.

Congratulations on so many great years together! (I've only been married since last November, but I agree — it's pretty wonderful. The four years before were wonderful too.) And those are lovely pictures.
Happy anniversary to you both! After almost 16 years, I still can't convince my gf to marry me. Oh well. She's not going anywhere ;-).
You're setting a fine example to us all … here's to the next 16 AT LEAST!! Amor omnia vinquit or is it amor vinquit omnia?
It has, it does, it will :)
I must agree – marriage is a great place to be.
