As usual, my head is full of all sorts of thoughts about all sorts of things, tumbling about like puppies in a sack. Instead of giving you something meaningful and coherent (at least today) here is a supremely weird video of Christopher Lee doing ‘symphonic metal’–at least talking about doing it. He also explains how he is descended from Charlemagne.
I, of course, am descended from Llewellyn Gryffyth, last sovereign prince of Wales. Me and 20 million other people…
Who are your famous ancestors?
That is a weird video.
I have no info on my ancestors – no one on either side of my family seems to know anything about our origins. That's kind of weird too.
Then you should adopt Durham, the city (the university has a College of St. Hild and St. Bede, so we likes it).
I know! Started to say that — I was thinking along the same lines. Must be a reason I have that name…
All that history is mind boggling to me.
“We call it… symphonic metal…”
Would a We Call It Acid allusion register anywhere on Christopher Lee's mental map, or has he just not shaken off the wizardly intonations yet?
Saruman: “But you have chosen…THE PATH OF METAL!”
