I didn’t get to sleep until close to 5 a.m. this morning so today is going to be one of quiet reflection. That is, sitting blankly with a cup of tea, watching the clouds go by. That is, watching them stay. Which is a pity because that means we’ll miss the solstice lunar eclipse. Eh, it’s Seattle.
But I hope you get to see it where you are.
It's total cloud cover here too. My optimistic little heart is hoping for a break in the weather, but it doesn't look likely. Hope things clear up for you.
Hoping it will be dark enough here. Solar eclipse will begin around 19.18 and continue for 90 minutes. We're expecting a rose moon! Hope you do get a glimpse.
Absolutely amazing – the sky cleared up beautifully. The last sliver of bright light just left the moon's face. I can see why ancient peoples worshipped the heavens, and I have a renewed sense of why I do, too.
I hope your sky cleared up!
Jealous! We had cloud. But K and I raised a glass to it anyway.
I went to bed around 1:30, when it was still clear and the shadow was just starting to lift. My parents got up to see it a little later, but it had hazed over again – so I'm glad I got the view I did.
I'm very sorry you didn't get to see it :(.
