I’m not around much today, so I thought I’d offer you this photo I took of my office window a couple of weeks ago: chambered nautilus (yes, it’s real), stained glass, and blossom.
At some point soon I’ll write a wee photo essay about my work space. Until then, picture me sitting at my desk by the window, working on Hild…
Wow, you mean that's a real shell? Cool. Beautiful view!
Occasionally see nautilus shells washed up on the shores here, so beautiful and so fragile. Feels fitting that have stained glass and what could be woodland to look out onto with Hild. DId you love that book you got a while back – Trees?
jennifer, yep, a real shell. A gift from friends a dozen years ago. I'd say the glass is about 20 cm high, the shell a little more than half that–11 or 12 cm maybe.
Two books on trees, one I bought, one from the library. Quite different. But I was sad I had to take the library book back; I hadn't had time to read it properly. Never enough time in the day…
