I like strong opinions held weakly. Say what you mean, mean what you say and be prepared to listen and change your mind. But have the courage of your convictions.

I don't see what's 'weak' about listening and being prepared to change my mind. I've even been known to change my mind when there's good reason to. I see that as strength, not weakness.
As for speaking with authority, I haven't any, and I don't know that anyone does. I prefer to question authority.
Promiscuous, weak as in lightly held, not a death grip. It means having an opinion based on thought and fact and feeling, and being open to change.
