In what has become an annual tradition at the Griffith-Eskridge household, Kelley lovingly selects a tree and drags it home.
We decorate it. That is, Kelley does most of the work while I half watch something familiar on TV–this year, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer ep (“Prophecy Girl”)–and half watch the progress through the glass door that separates the TV room from the living room.
We admire it for a while.
Then I blow it up.
I’m definitely beginning to get into the holiday/apocalypse spirit. How about you?
RPG or pocket Molotov?
Brilliant! Except you should refer to it as a “holiday tree”.
Neither. A missile attack courtesty of the Action Movie app.
Well, we celebrate Christmas in our house so it's a Christmas tree.
Ha! That was awesome. Kelley must be such a good sport.
Hmmm. Perhaps it's closer to the truth to say that after nearly two and half decades she's resigned to these things…
Let me get this right. You used a movie application…so you didn't actually blow up the house so you could get the tree. right? If you actually blew up the tree in the house….after Kelley spent time decorating it …*shakes head* oh.dear.goddess.
It looked really awesome. :-)
Holy crap! That was amazing. I had no idea you could pull something like that off.
That's the beauty of movie magic. I get to blow it up. Then admire it again for a while. Then drop a rock on it. Admire. Crush it with a crashing helicopter. Admire. Roll a couple of trucks over it. Admire… Endless fun.
It's really, really easy. Free. And enormous fun. Utterly a win.
Look forward to this every year. Merry Christmas, Nicola and Kelley.
