What does it depend on? How many people show up. I read a bit of Menewood in London but it’s no longer the beginning–and I read it because the room was SRO. (Actually, people were sitting on the floor; the place was stuffed. Very gratifying.) The first time is special. I want a crowd.
The other piece I might read is perfectly good; I’ve never read that, either. So either way you’ll be getting something new. And the conversation Pat and I have planned is cracking good. But if you want to hear the beginning of HILD II, bring your friends!
Have fun! With you in spirit. Wish you could come to Oakland. Laurel Bookstore is a store you’d enjoy.
Well, I’ll come one day. When I start travelling again.
