Every year I blow up the Christmas tree. We haven’t got our tree yet, so I’m warming up with BB-8 having a go at the dining room table.
If you want to see the kind of thing that might be coming soon, see my YouTube Channel, “Blow Shit Up!”

I still feel that Hild was one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I want to live in that world again. Any chance of that?
It looks as though I just posted a complete non-sequitur to your prompt about prepping the tree blow-up project. Unintentional consequence.
In between blowing things up I’m working on the Hild sequel. There. Now it’s all connected :)
I told my 14 and 16 year olds to read Hild for their emotional development. How can we understand each other than to see through the others eyes. What does a woman feel, what does she do in a world of gesiths. Men are afraid women will laugh at them, women are afraid… The 8th century exposes humans to ourselves. Hild sees so much that the rest of us let slip by.
Hild in the “See or die” place, which hopefully your daughters never will be. But I hope they like the book anyway. Let me know, okay?
